Friday, April 14: Fly from USA to Venice, Italy.
Saturday, April 15: Arrive Venice and take a water taxi to your hotel. After check-in, take a walking tour of the area of the Zattere. Overnight Venice.
Sunday, April 16: Visit St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. Later take a boat to San Giorgio to see a magnificent view of the city from the bell tower. Overnight Venice.
Monday, April 17: Tour the islands of Burano and Torcello. Overnight Venice.
Tuesday, April 18: Travel from Venice to Florence by fast train. In Florence you will be met by two amazing guide/drivers who will take us to Cortona. After check-in, take a tour of Cortona. Overnight Cortona.
Wednesday, April 19: Take a tour of the towns of Montepulciano, famous for its beauty and wines, and Pienza, an almost Disney-like creation of Pope Piccolomini. Overnight Cortona.
Thursday, April 20: Travel first to Saint Francis’ city of Assisi to see the magnificent cathedral. After lunch, tour the medieval village of Bevagna famous for its architecture and the “Gaite” who live there and practice their medieval arts of paper making and silk weavings. Later travel to Spoleto. Overnight Cortona.
Friday, April 21: Today we will visit Deruta, long known as a center of refined ceramics which are exported worldwide. Later we will travel to the Etruscan town of Orvieto with its magnificent cathedral and views. Overnight Cortona.
Saturday, April 22: Travel from Florence on a fast train to Naples and then by car to Sorrento. Take a walking tour of this paradise of a town. Overnight Sorrento.
Sunday, April 23: Spend the day on the island of Capri, the Italian Garden of Eden. Overnight Sorrento.
Monday, April 24: Today you will enjoy the breath-taking views the Amalfi Coast towns of Positano and Amalfi with time to walk around in the towns. Overnight Sorrento.
Tuesday, April 25: Today step back 2000 years when you visit the ancient city of Pompeii and visualize life in Ancient Roman times. Overnight Sorrento.
Wednesday, April 26: Take a fast train to Rome and then check into your hotel by the Pantheon. Take a walking tour of the area. Overnight Rome.
Thursday, April 27: Today you will visit the ancient city–the Colosseum and the Forum. Overnight Rome.
Friday, April 28: Spend this last day at the Vatican Museums and in St. Peter’s Basilica. Overnight Rome.
Saturday, April 29: Fly from Rome to the USA.
